Is the Entire Kidrax's Product Line Vegan?
We believe that making the best supplements for your health means creating products with non-GMO, plant-based, organic, vegan ingredients, with the fewest number of allergens as possible. All of our dietary supplements are vegan, but we do have two products in our Face & Body Product line which contain beeswax: the Enzyme Mask and Vitamin Clear Skin (Acne) Mask. The Enzyme Mask also contains honey. Please know that we are committed to creating products that promote your health & we wouldn’t have included these ingredients if we hadn’t felt it contributed to the formula.
Difference Between an Expiration Date vs. Manufacture Date?
You’ve probably noticed that some dietary supplements have an expiration date (sometimes called best-if-used-by date, and best-by date), while others include a manufacture date instead. What is the difference between them all? When used on a product, Manufacture Date is often abbreviated as “MFG”. This is the date that the product was made. A product with an Expiration Date will generally have the abbreviation “EXP”. This is the date that the product is determined to expire. Similarly, best-if-used-by date, and best-by date: abbreviated as “BB”. These dates indicated that a product is best if consumed by that date. There are a wide variety of reasons why a company may choose to use manufacture dates over expiration dates on their products, and one is not necessarily better than the other. Most companies, regardless of whether they use manufacture dates or expiration dates, have many other quality assurance measures in place to make sure that, as a consumer, you are receiving the best possible product!

Are my products OK if they go through Airport X-Rays?

What are sugar alcohols? And why does Kidrax's use them in products?
Thanks for reaching out with your question! We would love to share some additional information about sugar alcohols and why we choose to formulate with them.Sugar Alcohols do not contain any kind of drinking alcohol, though the molecular structure does resemble sugar and part is similar to alcohol. They differ from sugar in caloric content and health impact, since the body digests them differently.Sugar alcohols, also called polyols, are carbohydrates that are not completely metabolized by the body, converting to glucose more slowly than other carbohydrates and requiring little to no insulin to be metabolized. For example, xylitol, one sugar alcohol that we use, has 40% fewer calories than sugar, and is significantly lower on the glycemic index. Kidrax's uses sugar alcohols in some of our products to make them more palatable and as a great sugar substitute for many of our products! This way we are able to make great tasting, low or no sugar supplements. We hope this additional information helps. Please let us know if you have any additional questions we can assist with!
Certifications & Third Party Testing
Does Kidrax's test products for Quality Assurance?
Yes! Each lot of our products are third party tested for content claims and potential contaminants (like microbial and heavy metals). To ensure product quality and safety, Kidrax's only uses ISO 17025 Certified labs for our third party testing. The Certificate of Analysis (CoA) must pass our standards to be released for sale. It’s important to us to be able to provide our customers with quality products so you feel comfortable trusting our brand, and confident in your health choices! We are also excited to mention that we have been working on getting our products certified by the Clean Label Project! The Clean Label project is a non-profit that focuses on bringing awareness to environmental contaminants in consumer products, and certifying products that meet testing requirements. At this time, we haveover 100 of our productscertified by the Clean Label Project, and we are actively working on adding more to this list. To learn more about the Clean Label Project and what it means, check out ourblog articleabout CLP!
What is Clean Label Project? And why is it important?
We’re so excited to be working with Clean Label Project, and we are happy to share more about what Clean Label Project is and why we are working on obtaining Clean Label Project certification for our products. Clean Label Project is a non-profit focused on educating consumers about environmental contaminants in consumer products on the market today, promoting science-based techniques to advocate for cleaner food and consumer products on behalf of the public. Clean Label Project (CLP) is on the frontier of food safety, working to shift the curve from the bare minimum of federal standards to a higher standard of food safety. In addition to this work, CLP certifies products that meet rigorous testing requirements. Here at Kidrax's, we’re voluntarily thinking about food safety differently, and we are proud to say that we are Clean Label Project Brand Certified. At this time, we have71 individual productscertified by the Clean Label Project, and we are actively working on adding more products from our catalog to this list. These products have earned their certification after being tested for hundreds of industrial and environmental contaminants and toxins. We believe in the mission of CLP, and, considering the realities of societal choices around mining, fracking, and industrial agriculture, we want to do our part to make sure we are making clean and pure products! To learn more about the Clean Label Project and what it means, check out ourblog articleabout CLP!
How does a brand obtain Clean Label Project Certification?
In order to earn Clean Label Project Certification, Clean Label Project purchases products at retail (or online) and tests them for purity, specifically testing for chemicals of concern, including heavy metals, pesticide residues, and endocrine-disrupting plasticizers. These test results are not just compliant with federal standards, which should be considered the bare minimum of safety standards, but are compared to high risk chemicals listed on the State of California Environmental Health Hazard Assessment Office’s Proposition 65 list. If the product is found to comply, it qualifies for Clean Label Project Certification. After initial testing for certification, the products undergo random annual testing, to make sure they’re being held to the same standards on an ongoing basis. At this time, we have over 100 of our products certified by the Clean Label Project, and we are actively working on adding more products from our catalog to this list. These products have earned their certification after being tested for hundreds of industrial and environmental contaminants and toxins. We hope all this information helps to build a better understanding of Clean Label Project, but to learn more, check out ourblog articleabout CLP!
Does Kidrax's have organic certification for products?
Part of our ongoing business plan involves obtaining organic certification for products that do not currently have organic status, and are eligible for organic certification, as well as launching new products that are certified organic when and where possible!Any ingredient listed as organic on our product labeling is based on the organic certification for that specific ingredient. For an entire product to be considered USDA Organic, the product must meet the USDA's requirements and must go through a rigorous audit process by a third-party certifying agency to be certified organic. Receiving organic certification can be a time-consuming and expensive process, particularly if it involves reformulation of an existing product to source organic ingredients.Products that have USDA Certification are typically noted as such on the product’s landing page! Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have additional questions on this or any other topic.
Kidrax's have Kosher certifications for products?
Currently, Kidrax's does not have Kosher certification. But while we do not have Kosher certification now, it may be something we pursue in the future.
California Assembly Bill 899
What is AB 899?
AB 899 is a California legislative bill requiring manufacturers of baby food to test and disclose the levels of four heavy metals: lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury. In addition to the testing requirements, it also requires brands meet particular labeling requirements starting with foods produced on or after January 1, 2025, and disclose the test results on their website. Ultimately, the goal of AB 899 is to improve product safety, and enhance transparency, so parents and caregivers can make more educated decisions about the health of their families
What type of products are required to follow AB 899?
AB 899 applies to baby food products — including dietary supplements — sold, manufactured, delivered, held, or offered for sale in California (including any imported items). It applies specifically to products made and marketed to children less than two years of age.
What is Kidrax's doing to stay in compliance with this new bill?
Since we already had heavy metal testing protocols in place, the main update for Kidrax's is including the testing results on our website — we are excited about this requirement and are considering it an opportunity to move toward greater transparency with our test results.
What does AB 899 say are acceptable levels for heavy metals?
Assembly Bill 899 did not set limits on the allowable amount of the heavy metals lead, mercury, cadmium, and arsenic. Instead, the bill set the requirement for brands to test their products and disclose those results on a website. At Kidrax, we use Prop 65 as our parameters for heavy metal testing and we work closely with the Clean Label Project to assure our customers that we take product safety seriously.
What is ‘ppb’ and ‘ppm’?
PPB stands for parts per billion, and is a unit used to measure very small concentrations of a substance within another. While ppb is parts per billion, PPM is parts per million, and 1 ppm is equal to 1,000 ppb. It may help to imagine 1 ppm as one litre (33.8 fl oz) of water in a swimming pool, whereas 1 ppb would be 1 ml (0.0338 fl oz) of water in a swimming pool of the same size. In an effort to move “closer to zero”, we are reporting all potential contaminants in parts per billion rather than parts per million. Closer to Zero is an initiative led by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to reduce childhood dietary exposure to contaminants to as low as possible, while maintaining access to nutritious foods. As a brand, we take the responsibility of moving “closer to zero” seriously!
How can I find Kidrax's heavy metal test results for AB 899?
To view Kidrax's heavy metals results for products produced after January 1st, 2025, visit ourAB 899 Test Results landing page.
Should I take anything with heavy metals out of my child’s diet?
Heavy metals are naturally occurring and some practices, like mining and industrial agriculture, have made them more prevalent in our food sources. The high toxicity of heavy metals arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury make them a public health priority, as they can cause vital organ damage. However, nutrition experts, as well as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), agree that eliminating nutritious foods from your child’s diet to avoid heavy metals could be problematic as it could result in poor nutrition and deficiencies.Instead, focus on feeding your child a varied, nutrient-dense diet, with whole foods like fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Washing fruits and vegetables thoroughly, and using cookware made from materials like stainless steel or glass may also help you avoid heavy metal contamination. Lastly, work with your child’s healthcare professional to help you make the best decisions for your child’s wellness! You can also learn more by checking out the FDA’s latest guidancehere.
Are Kidrax's products safe?
The safety and quality of our products is of the utmost importance to us! As a dietary supplement brand, we aim to make products for your health and the health of your families, so we’ve been working hard with Clean Label Project (CLP) to demonstrate our commitment to the safety and quality of our products. Aside from our internal testing requirements, CLP tests our products for certification on an annual basis, for hundreds of industrial and environmental contaminants and toxins. We are CLP Brand Certified, have over 140 of our products certified by the Clean Label Project, and we are actively working on adding more products from our catalog to this list

How Does Free Shipping Work?
Kidrax's offers free standard shipping on all U.S. orders over $89 and free express shipping for orders over $189.To be eligible for free shipping, your subtotal before taxes and shipping costs must meet the minimum amount required. It is also important to keep in mind that if you are using any coupons or discount codes, these will affect your purchase subtotal. For example, if your cart shows a total of $89, but you apply a 15% discount code, this will bring your subtotal to $75. This means that the purchase would not qualify for free shipping anymore unless another product was added to make the subtotal over $89 again with the code applied - similarly, if you have a cart with a subtotal of $189, you will not qualify for free express shipping if a discount code brings your subtotal below $189.If you still have questions about whether or not your order qualifies for free shipping, please do not hesitate to reach out to our Customer Care team at 310-955-1353 or contact@kidrax.com and we will be happy to help!
